The Modular Project
The Italian Center for Peace in the Middle East, as the promoter of the Italian Committee in Support of the Geneva Initiative has created a modular project that can serve as the basis for activities promoted by organizations supporting the Geneva Initiative. As such, this Modular Project aims to lay the foundations for developing the Supporting Committee’s activities.
The project’s structure includes a general and introductory module, concerning the introduction of the Committee’s general activities, as well as four more detailed thematic modules. The thematic modules include: Local Authorities, Trade Unions and the working sphere, Young Leaders and NGOs, and Schools (including work with School Teachers and School-Twinning).
An introductory module of activities is also included in the project, with a more limited budget, so that this module might be promoted and financed by smaller organisations that are nonetheless interested in involving themselves in favour of the peace in the Middle East and in favour of the Geneva Initiative.
The thematic modules are repeatable and articulated according to areas of interest: Italian interlocutors from specific geographical or thematic areas are selected in order to let them deal with their counterparts in loco.
The activities in the region might be unilateral - only with Israelis or Palestinians- and/or bilateral, when this is possible, and they will be coordinated by our partners in the region.
